Wrinkles
Includes
Wrinkles and fine lines.
Description
A wrinkle is a fold in the surface of a solid object, generally consisting of a thin, rigid layer on the surface, and a softer layer below.
The development of wrinkles is a normal phenomenon that occurs with aging. However, numerous studies have shown that in most people, particularly women, this process often occurs prematurely. From a naturopathic perspective, the goal is therefore to counteract this process by minimizing the factors that cause premature aging and increasing the factors that help the skin regenerate.
Dietary Considerations
Increase your consumption of vegetables and eat a healthy, balanced diet. Avoid too many simple sugars (e.g. white and brown sugar, honey, maple syrup and corn syrup). Eat protein at every meal. Consume at least 1 tablespoon of "good fat" (e.g. hempseed oil, flaxseed oil or cold-pressed olive oil) every day.
