Bursitis
Includes
Tendinitis.
Description
Hygroma or bursitis is an inflammation of one or several bursae. A bursa is a small sac containing synovial fluid, which facilitates joint movements and the sliding of organs connected to the joints (e.g. muscles and tendons).
Tendinitis is a painful tendon disorder caused by trauma, which triggers inflammation.
From a naturopathic perspective, acidosis, or excess acid in the tissues, plays a major role. In addition, certain deficiencies can prolong the inflammatory process unnecessarily.
