Cellulitis
Includes
Lymphatic congestion, lymphedema.
Description
Cellulitis, or superficial lipodystrophy, is a cluster of fat or waste under the skin. Scientifically known as edematous fibrosclerotic panniculopathy, this disorder refers to several advanced stages of cellulite.
It is characterized by skin resembling an orange peel.
In naturopathy, cellulitis is considered first and foremost to be toxic build-up. If the lymphatic system isn't properly functioning, waste that should be eliminated is deposited under the skin, resulting in what is known as cellulite.
